The Spirit Kin of the
Wild Hedge

where fibre becomes spell, & remembrance takes form

There are threads that refuse to be forgotten. They whisper through bloodlines, through dreams, through the quiet pull of your hands as they reach for fabric and fibre, for the textures that feel like home.

The Spirit Kin of the Wild Hedge were born from that remembering.

The Call to Remember

For years I have worked with women to reclaim the parts of themselves they were told to bury — their wildness, their rage, their intuition, their magic. In that work, I found myself being called back to my own ancestral roots — to the women who wove protection into fabric, who whispered prayers into the hems of clothing, who placed dolls on altars not for play, but for power.

These spirit dolls emerged as a way to honour that lineage.
Each one is a bridge between past and present — a physical embodiment of the ancestral and the alchemical. They are vessels of remembrance — a way to bring the unseen back into form, to hold the stories that live in our bones.

Wild Hedge — The Meaning Behind the Name

The name The Wild Hedge arose as a calling — a quiet knowing that echoed through the land and the lineage.

The hedge is a living threshold: the meeting place between cultivated and untamed, between what is seen and what lies just beyond perception. It is where the witch once walked, gathering herbs and whispers, listening to the old songs carried by wind and thorn.

In that liminal space, protection and prophecy entwine. The hedge guards, heals, and reveals — reminding us that wildness and wisdom are not opposites, but kin.

Every Spirit Kin born under this name carries that essence: woven with intention, alive with ancestral breath, and created as a bridge between worlds — a vessel through which spirit becomes form and remembrance takes shape.

The Crafting Ritual

Each Spirit Kin is handcrafted in ritual at The Alchemist Retreat, guided by intuition, ancestral presence, and the quiet conversation between hand and spirit.

Within her body rests a medicine bundle, a sacred gathering of plant, crystal, and intention, carefully placed at her heart to anchor her magic and purpose. Mugwort, herb of seers and dreamers, is always woven into her making, awakening intuition and strengthening the bridge between worlds. Alongside her, other herbs, fabrics, and found elements are chosen intuitively for each creation. No two dolls are ever the same.

Every Spirit Kin is bespoke, limited edition, and alive with intention, hand-felted, stitched with sigils, and blessed beneath moonlight. They are altar guardians and ancestral companions, keepers of the liminal spaces between the seen and unseen.

Through their making, I return to the women who came before me, the weavers, healers, and bone-keepers, and to the women who will come after, carrying these stories forward in new forms.
