As the importance of embracing seasonal living has grown in my life, my perspective on spring, summer, autumn, and winter has transformed. Instead of viewing them as fixed and unchanging entities, I now see them as a beautiful dance of interconnected mini-seasons.
The Wheel of the Year, a seasonal calendar which beautifully represents the annual cycle of solstices, equinoxes, and the moments in between. This concept has become an integral part of my spiritual journey and has served as the driving force behind the creation of these meaningful seasonal workshops.
THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR
The Wheel of the Year is essentially a representation of the everlasting patterns of birth, death, and renewal. Within these cycles, nature holds deep wisdom that our ancestors cherished and embodied with utmost respect. They harmoniously coexisted and laboured in accordance with the natural world, honouring its rhythms and even the most subtle transitions it embraced.
It consists of eight seasonal festivals.
The seasonal festivals offer us a beautiful framework to embrace the continuous flow of time, mirroring the natural cycles of birth, growth, decay, and ultimately, embracing the end. In each passing year, these festivals remind us of the profound transformations we undergo and how change warmly walks alongside us throughout our own journey in life.
