the hedgerow circle

Women’s Plant Medicine Rituals & Healing Circle (Hampshire)

Walking the wild edges — plant spirit medicine, folk magic, seasonal ritual & embodied healing rooted in the old ways.

At the boundary between field and forest, the hedgerow has always been more than a tangle of plants.
It is a threshold — a place of protection, mystery, and magic.
A place where the old ways live on.

The Hedgerow Circle invites you to gather each month with the plants as our allies and teachers.
Together we’ll explore their remedies, stories, and spirit medicine, weaving them with journalling, movement, and ritual practices that anchor their wisdom into your body and your life.

This is not a workshop series.
It is a journey of remembrance — walking the wild edges, reclaiming folk magic, and attuning to the rhythm of the turning year.

What Is The Hedgerow Circle?

A Women’s Circle Rooted in Plant Spirit Medicine. More than a workshop — a journey of remembrance & ritual

The Hedgerow Circle is a monthly women’s gathering in Hampshire where plant magic meets embodied ritual. Each session is guided by a seasonal plant ally whose medicine, folklore, and archetypal energy shape our practices.

Through remedies, journalling, movement, and ceremony, we weave together ancient plant spirit wisdom with modern embodiment practices. You’ll leave not only with crafted remedies or ritual tools, but with a deeper connection to your body, the land, and the turning of the year.

This is a women’s circle for the spiritually curious, the soul-led, and the wild-hearted — a space to slow down, root deeply, and remember the old ways.

What You’ll Experience

Plant Magic, Rituals & Embodied Practice

Each gathering of The Hedgerow Circle includes:

  • Plant Spirit Wisdom & Folklore — learning the stories, energetics, and archetypes of the plant ally

  • Remedies & Crafting — making tinctures, incense, charms, or ritual tools to take home

  • Ritual Practices — release, manifestation, or reflection aligned with the season’s medicine

  • Embodiment & Journalling — grounding the teachings into your body through movement, breath, and guided writing

  • Sacred Sisterhood — being witnessed and held in community with like-hearted women

This is seasonal plant medicine experienced not just with the mind, but with the body and spirit.

Monthly Themes

Seasonal Women’s Gatherings for the Turning of the Year

The Hedgerow Circle flows with the Wheel of the Year. Each month, a new plant ally opens a doorway into reflection, healing, and transformation.

Some months invite heart opening and connection. Others call us into stillness, rest, and release. There are moments for weaving and manifestation, and others for ancestral remembrance and descent.

Together, we walk the arc of the seasons — receiving the medicine of the plants and carrying it into our daily lives.

Who It’s For

For Women Ready to Reconnect With the Old Ways

  • Wish to deepen your connection with the land, the seasons, and the old ways

A cauldron and oracle cards, set up for new moon rituals, symbolising transformation and manifestation.

A Soul Sister Collaboration

The Hedgerow Circle is co-created by two women devoted to walking the wild edges:

Tania Meacher — Ancestral Alchemist

An intuitive energy worker and real-life practicing witch, she weaves ancestral wisdom, ritual, and embodiment into her work, offering a grounded yet magical professionalism that supports women to release, reclaim, and remember who they truly are.

Jo Edney — Kintala Healing

A Reiki, Sekhem, and Multi-Dimensional Angelic Energy practitioner, as well as a yoga teacher, Jo combines energy work, movement, and circle facilitation to support others in processing what the body holds and creating balance in their lives.

feedback from previous attendees

“Each gathering feels like a gift to myself. In the middle of my busy life, it is the one place I can pause, reflect, and realign with the seasons. It’s grounded, magical, and so needed.”

“It was an absolutely amazing evening and I was so pleased to be part of it. Wow, I’m so glad I went. It was a powerful, amazing place to be and I felt so connected to the other women in the room. I’ll definitely recommend it to others too.”

“This space gave me something I didn’t even know I was missing — a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with myself. The ritual felt deeply nourishing, and I left not just with remedies in my hands, but with a sense of belonging and magic in my heart.”

“I’ve done yoga classes and women’s workshops before, but this is different. There’s a depth here — the old ways, the storytelling, the plant wisdom woven with journalling and movement. Each session feels like stepping across a threshold, and I always leave lighter, calmer, and more connected. ”

“What I love most is the balance of practical and magical. We make remedies I can actually use at home, but the real medicine is in the circle itself — being seen, being held, and remembering how powerful it feels to gather with women in this way. It’s become a sacred pause in my month.”

“I was nervous at first, but the moment I stepped into the circle I felt at home. Jo and Tania hold such a safe, welcoming space. The mix of plant lore, ritual, and reflection has helped me let go of old patterns and reconnect with my intuition in ways I didn’t expect.”

FAQ

No — The Hedgerow Circle is open to beginners as well as those already walking this path. You don’t need any prior knowledge of herbalism, energy work, or ritual. Just curiosity and an open heart.

Please bring a journal and pen, a torch if it’s dark, water bottle, and anything that helps you feel comfortable — yoga mat, blanket, and cushion. All other supplies for remedies and rituals are provided.

We gather at Staunton Farm, Havant, Hampshire. Parking is in the coach park before the ANPR barrier. We’ll meet you there at 6:50 pm and walk you to the venue, which is inside. We may use the outside spaces in the warmer summer months.

No — this is not a psychedelic or shamanic plant medicine ceremony. We work with safe, accessible herbs of the hedgerow through remedies, crafting, folklore, and ritual practices.

You’re welcome to book single sessions, though many women find the deepest transformation by joining regularly through the seasons.

No refunds will be offered for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop date. We understand that unexpected things happen, and we recommend letting us know as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule outside this window

Workshops usually focus on learning a single skill or making something to take home. The Hedgerow Circle is much more than that. It’s an ongoing journey of remembrance — a space where we don’t just learn about plants, but sit with them as teachers. Each month, we weave together remedies, ritual, movement, and reflection so the wisdom of the old ways is felt in your body, not just in your mind.

This is a living practice: seasonal, soulful, and transformational.
